Smoked Paprika Swede Wedges

1 Medium swede 600-700g
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp Maldon salt
4 tbsp ground nut oil
Salsa dip or sour cream dip or both

Preheat oven 200C/400F/Gas mark 6 (reduce heat slightly for fan ovens)

Peel swede and cut into chips
Place the swede in pan and cover in boiling water, bring back to the boil and cook for further 7 to 8 minutes
While the swede is cooking combine the smoked paprika, salt and groundnut oil, whisk together. Once swede is partially cooked pour off the water and let most of the steam come off the swede removing the moisture. Drizzle the paprika mixture over the chips and toss to cover as mutch as possible.
Heat a large non-stick frying pan on a high heat then add the coated swede, cook for several minutes tossing regularly to cook all over. Make sure you are moving the swede gently all the time to prevent burning.
Serve with the dips of your choice
